Parent Talk Social and Support Groups

Parent Talk members may participate in any number of interest-oriented, social and athletic clubs. Each offers a great way to get involved, meet new people, and make new friends.

Adoptive Families

A support group for adoptive parents and families considering or in the middle of adoption. Share information, resources, and experiences.

Book Club

Parent Talk's book club meets on a monthly basis to discuss a new book and enjoy the camaraderie of adults.

Career Moms

Are you looking to connect with other moms who work outside the home? This social/networking group is open to all - including those who are self-employed or who work outside the home on a part-time, temporary, or freelance basis. Career Moms meet for dinner, lectures, or just a fun night out once a month.

Dad's Night Out

Dads deserve a night out too! Join other dads for the occasional night out and other social activities.

Midlife Moms Group

This group is made up of Moms that are 40ish and over with small children. We try to gather every few months for a Mom's night out for good conversation over wine, coffee and dessert. Previous meetings have taken place at member's homes and at local restaurants.

Mom's Night Out

Every mom wants some "mom time" every now and then. Join other Parent Talk moms for a fun night out without the children every month or two. Past events have included dinner out at local restaurants, pedicures & manicures, and special shopping nights at local stores.

Parents of Children with Food Allergies

Do you have a child with food allergies? Parent Talk's Food Allergy group is an excellent resource. This group communicates regularly via email to provide information and support to each other and also meets occasionally in person for dinner. Additionally, if your child has been recently diagnosed, you can be "matched up" with another Parent Talk member dealing with the same allergies.

Parents of Multiples

Parents of twins and triplets have unique needs. Meet other local parents with multiples through Parent Talk's Parents of Multiples Group. This group meets quarterly to answer questions, socialize and discuss topics with special significance to parents of multiples, as well as events ranging from relevant speakers to family fun social events.

Softball Team

Join our co-ed softball team for fun games of slow-pitch softball. Games are once a week from May through August.

Tennis Club

Interested in playing tennis with other moms? Parent Talk's tennis club meets once a week (May - October) with children and alternate tennis playing and child supervising.
